Are you Christian? Are you the parent or guardian of an LGBTQ+ child? Do you love your child, accept and embrace their identity?
If your answer to these questions is YES, then you can participate in this incredible project!
Many Christian parents or guardians whose kid comes out need support and guidance. (Maybe you did too when your kid came out? 😉)
And for good reason, too: it can be so scary and disorienting to even start understanding something that, up to that point, is completely unknown.
What does it mean to be LGBTQ+? Will they be safe? Is it a sin? Did they choose this? Will they be happy? Is it my fault? What about all the plans we had for them? How can we protect them from harm?
The questions are endless – and not having the answers can sometimes be isolating and terrifying.
A lot of Christian parents or guardians have gone through this before.
Through their journey to acceptance and love, they've learned, found answers, and discovered that supporting their children's LGBTQ+ identity is absolutely compatible with their faith.
Wouldn't it be great if these two groups of parents could share their experiences in a setting of love, patience and acceptance?
They can! ‘Help, my kid just came out!’ will gather video testimonials of Christian parents or guardians whose kids have come out.
To participate you must be:
Christian, of any denomination or group.
A parent or guardian of an LGBTQ+ child.
At least 18-years-old.
Supportive and loving of your child and their LGBTQ+ identity.
Is this you? Then keep reading to find out how you can join in!
