The risks

Anti-LGBT+ Legislation

Countries like Hungary, Ghana, and Mali all moved forward new anti-LGBT+ legislation in the past year, banning Pride, LGBT+ activism, and even consensual same-sex acts.

For the first time in more than a decade the number of countries criminalizing same-sex acts increased.

Cuts to
Funding

Over $36 billion in USAID was cut by the Trump administration this year. Many millions of these dollars were supporting critical health work by LGBT+ grassroots groups, like giving HIV medication.

Without it, our partners are shutting their doors and turning away people in need.

Dropping Public Support

Support for LGBT+ rights is decreasing. One study shows that in 2025, fewer people are in favor of anti-discrimination protections when it comes to employment, housing, and social services for LGBT+ people, compared to 2021.

We’re feeling the same squeeze as our partners. This year, All Out has seen a sharp decrease in funding from foundations, corporations, and individuals.

Provide emergency aid when other funding disappears, keeping our global LGBT+ partners alive and active, like we did with our groundbreaking, global emergency fund.

Stop new hate laws, from Hungary, Ghana, and the U.S, like we’ve been campaigning on all year.

Continue our trainings to power the next generation of activists, which has been slashed for 2026, leaving us with funding for only 1 out of the 6 regional trainings we typically do.
